Everything's Rosy

As Summer has approached us, I felt it appropriate to dedicate a post to roses. The vibrant and delicate flowers have worked their way into fashion everywhere-from flower crowns to summer dresses. Rosy pink is also big and was all over Chanel's SS14 collection.

I love The Body Shop's Wild Rose hand cream. It is really moisturising and the scent is delicate, yet strong. This product made my hands really soft and left them rose scented for a while. Online, you can now only purchase a version for mature skin for £5, containing SPF 15. However, it is worth looking in-store for the version for all skin types, if they still stock it, so you do not use anything too harsh on your skin. My one criticism of this product is that the metal tube pierces easily. I was carrying this in my handbag, however a hole formed and I ended up with the moisturiser all over my bag! But aside from that, I really love this product!

I love this Cath Kidston oilcloth bag. I received it last year as a birthday gift and I adore it! I do believe this is a cosmetic bag, although there is no reason why you can't use it as a pencil case. The oilcloth material means you can wipe it clean if there are any foundation spills or crushed eye shadows! I don't think this bag is stocked anymore but they sell quilted cloth versions which are machine washable. If you really liked the one I have, I'm sure you could find one on the internet.

Primark has done it again! I got this beautiful flower crown the other day for just £3. Other high street stores charge a small fortune for these headbands so I was pretty impressed. I like how the crown adds a boho look to any outfit, no matter how casual or dressy. I also really love the mix of colours: a medley of pinks ranging from pale to punchy as well as white. The headband is wrapped in a silky, pink material and is comfortable to wear as the flowers aren't too heavy.

I love the flower crown as it goes with so many outfits like the one I am wearing above. The rose playsuit is from New Look and the denim shirt is from Miss Selfridge. I think denim jackets are a great summer staple-especially lightweight ones-as they provide an extra layer when it is chilly but too hot for a cardigan. I would pair this outfit with a pair of pink jelly shoes or some light brown desert boots.
