Grease

I first watched Grease a long time ago, however from the first few minutes I was in love with the film. It's something about the vibrant 50's fashion that fascinates me. Of course, there are many outfits in the classic movie that you can recreated however, I have chosen several key pieces to help you nail the look.
Grease

I do not own any of these images. The artwork of Frenchy can be purchased here

1) This 'Rydell High Cheerleading' tee from Truffle Shuffle is the product that inspired me to create a Grease-themed blog post. I love the simplicity and that you can channel the Grease look without going too overboard on the 50's style if that's what you prefer.
(sadly, this product is out of stock but there are many other Grease t-shirts on the site!)

2) This lemon yellow cardigan from New Look screams Sandy. The colour is very delicate and would look gorgeous with a white shirt like the one she sported in the image above.

3) For Frechy-esque candyfloss hair, why not dye it? Bleach London's Rose is a gorgeous shade to use. If you don't fancy doing completely pink, why not go for a Frenchy inspired dip dye. Alternatively, you could use a wash-out spray if don't want it to stay this colour for long. If you declare yourself a 'beauty school dropout' or-like me-not very good at hair dye, ask someone else or a hairdresser to give you a hand.

4) You can protect your eyes from the summer rays and look 50's fabulous with these cat eye sunglasses from Modcloth. I love the shape, which is similar to the pair featured in the image above but with a modern twist. For a more simple look, these glasses are also available in black!

5) Now, you simply cannot do a Grease blog post without including leather. We've all swooned at the sight of Danny and his friends in their jackets and you can channel the look too! This jacket is from Topshop and is faux leather.

6) Sandy's prom dress is gorgeous and perfect for dancing the night away. Believe it or not, it's virtually impossible to find a dress similar to this-especially with the floaty skirt. I thought this white dress from Modcloth took elements from Sandy's frock but looks a little more modernised. If you're after a 50's dress, try vintage stores!
(Ooops, this is also now out of stock! However, you can email the company and request that they restock the product. Modcloth also stock a variety of other vintage dresses!)

7) Sandy's look at the funfair, towards the end of the movie, is pulled together by her punchy red lip. I have heard many rave reviews about the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick. This shade is 'Wine 107' and will add a little of Sandy's sass (ooh alliteration!) to any outfit.

8) A staple piece to a 50's girl's wardrobe was the midi skirt. This yellow number from Topshop is the perfect length and has a gorgeous pattern. This skirt is clearly in high demand and has run out of stock in several sizes.

9) The Pink Ladies are a pretty unforgettable part of the movie. You can find similar jackets on Amazon and eBay to become one yourself. I love the silky material, despite the original jackets having small amounts of silk mixed with a matte-look material.

10) This simple, Topshop black crop top lies on the shoulders and is very similar to the one worn by Sandy. This can be worn with high-waisted trousers for her classic look that flatters any figure. Why not go all out at pop your hair in rollers to complete the outfit?

Thanks for reading, if there are any other movies you would like me to blog about-comment below!
Who is your favourite character in the movie, Grease?
